Hells Bells.. ‘embrace your demons’.  To me, this piece represents my struggles while trying to identify having bipolar and getting my arms around the vices, pitfalls, and madness.  This Colorado granite boulder has tiered splits (not an easy process) to give a bell-like shape.  Torching adds color and texture to the face.  The ‘pit’ or foundation is 4’ x 4’ x 4’ cement.  I proud of this cement work as it requires multiple off-camber pours and has a polished finish. This piece will receive a torched and blackened face shortly.
