Ranch Rock #2 - Individual Piece (available)
NEW! This (indoor) piece is the 2nd in the Ranch Rock series.. the first piece has gone to a Museum In Denver which I cannot yet announce. Shousugiban (blackening) is an ancient Japanese art whereby the wood is torched thus creating a protective layer. The idea here is through trials of fire we become more resilient. The gold is also a Japanese art called Kintsugi.. dating back 2,000+ years Shogun warriors would repair the cracks in their armor after battle. The mental health implication here is ‘our cracks are our strongest parts’. This is currently my favorite piece.. I’m sure it will find a home soon.
